Invisalign Treatment – Invisible braces
Invisalign is a type of proprietary treatment involves wearing a series of nearly invisible, removable, plastic aligners on the teeth. Teeth are moved in a series of short steps with each aligner being worn 23 hours a day for 3 weeks.
Each aligner is uniquely manufactured for your teeth, and your teeth only. As you replace each aligner, your teeth will move – little by little, every week – until they have straightened to the desired position prescribed by us.
Will Invisalign work for everyone?
Certain types of problems are not suitable for treatment with Invisalign such as very large overbites, jaw problems and very severe crowding. Our dentists have extensive experience using Invisalign and will be able to advise you on your suitability. Make an appointment to speak to one of our dentists and see if you are suitable for the Invisalign treatment by calling 0800 433 777.

Different types of Invisalign Treatments
Although many of our patients have heard of the Invisalign brand, they’re not always aware that there is a whole host of Invisalign braces to choose from – Invisalign Full, Invisalign Teen, Invisalign i7, and Invisalign Lite.
Invisalign Full
Invisalign Full is the original and most well-known Invisalign brace. The majority of our Invisalign patients are treated using Invisalign Full because it can correct such a wide range of complaints. On average, treatment with Invisalign Full takes between 12 and 18 months. In most cases it may be necessary to fit small attachments onto your teeth to help achieve certain movements. These are very discreet and your orthodontist will be able to show you some examples before you start your treatment.
Invisalign Teen
Invisalign Teen has been developed specifically with teenagers in mind, and whilst being very similar to the well-known Invisalign Full, it has a number of special features that have been designed to meet the needs of our younger patients. These include wear-indicators, which fade from blue to clear and help to ensure you are wearing your Invisalign aligners regularly, as well as a clever design that allows for the eruption of new adult teeth.
Invisalign i7
Invisalign i7 consists of just seven sets of aligners, and it has been developed to treat milder cases in as little as three months.
Invisalign Lite
If your case is too complex for Invisalign i7 you may be suitable for Invisalign Lite, which aims to treat simple to moderate cases in approximately 7 months, bridging the gap between Invisalign i7 and Invisalign Full.
