A denture is worn to replace natural teeth
A denture is worn to replace natural teeth. They can be taken out and put back into your mouth at your own will. Dentures are usually made from false teeth bonded to a plastic base. A complete denture replaces all your natural teeth. A partial denture will act to replace just some of your teeth. Dentures improve chewing ability and speech, and provide support for facial muscles.
Dentures & Cleaning
Cleaning – like natural teeth, dentures need habitual daily cleaning. The main purpose of cleaning is to remove plaque which builds up on dentures and any remaining teeth, so that it is not exposed to the gums.
Dentures & Adhesives
Adhesives – no matter how well dentures fit, they probably will not offer the same biting surface as natural teeth. An adhesive can help by providing protection and confidence that your dentures will be more firmly in place, so they will not dislodge whilst eating.
